Spiritual Counseling Practice
The way my spiritual counseling practice currently works:
My spiritual counseling practice now operates through "Designed to Blossom of AIWP," a non-denominational congregation I established over 11 years ago. The Association for the Integration of the Whole Person (AIWP) is a 501c3 non-profit that supports ministers and spiritual counselors like me in providing quality services to individuals and communities seeking support.
One advantage of working this way is that it allows clients to deduct what they pay for my services from their taxes as a charitable contribution.
Given my deeply relational approach and desire to support people in making changes that last, I recommend a minimum commitment of 12 sessions. Even though some of my clients receive just what they need in that amount of time, many others continue to work with me for much longer periods, or return from time to time as needed. Sessions are spaced out in a way that encourages momentum-building as well as honors individual needs.
Many people I work with choose to integrate Human Design, the Designed to Blossom Program/Workbook, and/or the Gene Keys into our counseling work.
Payment:
For payments to be tax deductible, they will be considered contributions/donations and go directly to Designed to Blossom of AIWP.

- GETTING STARTED: For clients who are interested in working with me, I recommend starting with an initial hour-long session, where we get to know each other, and if the fit is good, come up with a counseling plan together. Whether or not a counseling relationship is chosen, I offer my full attention, giudance and support during this session, and do my best to help you find your right next step.
- I have clients all over the world. Some are local and in-person. Some are long-distance and over the phone or SKYPE. Some are a combination of the two. (Some integrate Human Design into our work together.)
- I also have clients with whom I work primarily via email, as well clients who choose to have email contact with me in between sessions. For these clients, I make special agreements based on the amount of contact wanted.
- Except for people with whom I have special arrangements, emails and calls are used primarily for scheduling purposes.
- I have a 48 hour cancelation policy. If clients aren't able to give me an early enough heads-up, I do my best to reschedule the session within the same week, so I don't have to receive the agreed upon contribution/donation for the missed session, though this isn't always possible.

Disclaimer: I am an ordained minister and provide something more akin to spiritual counseling than psychotherapy. The work I do is with highly functional people, for whom ‘spirit’ plays a central role in their life. I do not give diagnoses, work with pathology, or claim to be an expert offering a treatment or cure.
