I launched "Moms About to Blossom!" Ezine some years ago...

...while looking out the window of a beautiful cabin in Mendocino, CA, taking in a breathtaking view of trees and ocean, and counting my blessings.

As a mom of a young daughter, opportunities to spend 3 full days totally on my own, focusing purely on my creative work while communing with nature, didn't come along every day, much less decade.

After interviewing and counseling many wonderful, inspiring (and at times overwhelmed and underappreciated) moms over the years, I feel more strongly than ever that we moms deserve to be blossoming right alongside our kids.  And, we need to know (and experience deep down in our cells!) that we no longer have to choose between ourselves and our kids, that our own happiness can, must, and inevitably WILL have an exceedingly positive impact on our children and family life.

I've come to see us as big beautiful holographic flowers, here to bloom into an imperfectly perfect!  life of balance and fulfillment.

With our "self" at the core, I envision us surrounded by 7 "petals" of life, each in need of warm light, replenishing water and supportive soil:

B for Body (without which none of this would be possible!)

L for Love (for our kids, communities & the earth)

O for significant "Other" (or our longing for that other)

S for Spirit (which includes FUN!)

S for Success (not just the money-making kind)

O for Organization (both inner and outer)

M for Mission (our purpose for being here at all)

Since our flower is holographic, the state of each of our petals impacts the overall health of our blossom.

(In the Designed to Blossom Program,  we explore this flower, one petal at a time, in addition to a highly personalized approach to the Human Design system... all with the aim of supporting us in our personal blossoming.)

Since moms are living gardens themselves, I firmly believe that cultivating a garden of happy, fulfilled and empowered moms can change the world.

In this part of the web site, I'll be sharing some of the articles I wrote for Blossoming Moms. I hope you find them inspiring, permission-giving and compassion-bringing!
